Kent Dog Listener

Helping dogs who have been or are currently in rescue has always been a passion of mine.   Some of the most misunderstood ‘messed up’ dogs I have ever met have been dogs who have a ‘rescue’ background or are in rescue centres,  as a Dog Listener I know that these dogs are not beyond help!  all they need is the right information and they can become calm happy relaxed dogs who are a pleasure to have as part of your family and the joy it brings to ‘turn’ these dogs around and bring them to peace is something that really gladdens the heart.

Last year I was contacted by a wonderful lady called Sharon who needed help,  so along I went and met with her and another representative Gilly from Cane Corso UK Molosser Rescue,  here is something she has sent me recently that i would like to share with you all….

I first came across Carmen when we had a dog in our rescue that no matter what I could not stop her dog on dog aggression, we have many dogs come through our doors at Cane Corso UK and Molosser rescue and most we have turned around to be great family dogs, but then came along Marnie, she was the most perfect of dogs great with people and children, but not other dogs, I knew there was something about this girl that wanted to change but just could not.

Carmen came and spoke with me and another of our representatives and showed and talked to us about the Dog Listener techniques, to start with it was like a light bulb had been switched on in my mind and I wondered why I had never thought of these things before, then human nature set in and I thought no nothing could be that easy, but I kept an open mind and decided to give the techniques a try. Within two weeks Marnie was like a different dog, she was walking with others no problem at all and she really took to one of my own dogs and would clean her ears out for her at any opportunity.

Marnie is now re-homed and very happy.

Since this meeting I have tried the techniques with other dogs that have come into our rescue that have had this and other problems and I am amazed how quickly these dogs have turned into great family dogs that I know will now have great lives.

I can’t thank Carmen enough for what she has done for the dogs in our rescue and making our lives easier.
